Soaked beans, sulpher and a bit of sweat sock on the nose right out of the bottle. Wine opens up after 60 minutes and nose turns more toward cocoa and strawberry. Ok finish, goes two directions. Tannins not particularly well read more...integrated. Good wine, very drinkable, but not remarkable. Would NOT drink again. It actually tastes like they poured a bottle of Merlot into a bottle of Tempranillo and it didn't mix well.

aTTenuation
My current all time favorite brew. As far as I know it can only be purchased on tap an extremely small handful of restaurants. It is a Belgian Strong Ale by Port Brewing Co. and can be found at Pizza Port's in So Cal.
Extremely complex. Pours a clear coppery gold, with a finger of bright-white foamy head. Excellent rich flareup on this that looks very handsome when swirled in the glass, leaving a thick cascade of foam down the sides of the tulip. The aroma is very sharp and tangy in the nose, with fresh floral hops, earth, green citrus, and a LOT of fruit, with juicy notes of apples and oranges taking center stage. Sweet bread adds some malty backing to the nose, while deep smelling spice gives this an aggressive zip. Lots of yeasty esters are present and the ABV gives this a bit of warm feel in the nostrils.

Delirim Tremens
Belgian Pale Ale. Deliciously malty with big, full body; finely hopped and beautifully balanced; creamy head; hints of warm citrus and spices in the flavors; very complex; robust and thoroughly enjoyable!
One of my all time favorites.
